Canberra

A view outside our apartment. After a long drive from Sydney, we finally arrived!

After resting for a bit, we decided to walk around and see what’s out there. I saw this interesting building with unique exterior design.

Sitting by the lake to take a break. Taking a moment to slow down and catch up with my thoughts.

A quick bite of chocolate flavoured Japanese cheesecake we bought from Uncle Tetsu’s in Sydney. I prefer the original flavour.

Went to Canberra Centre to find something for dinner.

Interesting ceiling design. I like the mix of lights and faux leaves hanging above. Hopefully it does not collect too much dust.

Tiger Lane. An interesting mix of pan-Asian restaurants. I like the bright neon lights. Unfortunately, we could not agree on where to eat.

We settled for PappaRich. Satisfied tummy!

Next morning at the apartment. Waiting for everyone to finish packing.

As we check-out from our apartment. It was decent.

Went back to Canberra city centre to have lunch.

So many flavours to choose from!

Thick shake for dessert. Suits the hot weather.

Finally saw the Parliament House in person! I often see this in news and now I’m here.

A view from Mount Ainslie Lookout. Seeing Parliament House from afar. An information board explains the Griffin Plan behind Canberra’s design.

At the Australian War Memorial, a shrine and museum built to honour and remember the Australians who fought and died from war.

A view from the war memorial. Another place where I usually just see on the news.

A quick petrol stop before driving any further.

Now back to the border of New South Wales. Good bye Canberra. It was nice seeing you.
